As always, It was a great experience working alongside the fantastic team of vendors assembled for this event. Also, I would give special thanks to Celeste Hernández Photography ( for sharing these pictures. Thank you for making us a part of their special day. Working with Olive and the other vendors ( at Morgan & David’s Wedding was a pleasure. Thank You to Olive Fine Weddings & Events: I definitely expect we will will see this combination requested again soon at The Bordone. It provides an alternative look to our string lights’ time-tested appeal (among other benefits). Hanging paper lanterns with our string lights puts a twist on this classic lighting style. There is a noticeable difference in their appearance with a light inside them, especially after dark. Adding a warm white light inside each lantern further enhances them with a soft glow miming traditional candle lite. Using color(s) and different size lanterns can further enhance their contribution to the decor. Paper Lanterns on their own can provide a lovely touch to this reception room. As a result, the overhead ceiling has more body in addition to the usual charm received from our string lights. While our paper lanterns hanging below our string lights adds depth to our installation. As a result, our String Lights provide their usual warm white light overhead (This always looks awesome in raw spaces). The bulb in the pendant lamp rests at the center of each paper lantern. The pendant lamps hang below our string lights with each paper lantern. Then we attach a pendant lamp with a paper lantern at every third or fourth bulb along our string lights. We first hang our String Lights in a zigzagging pattern (or parallel lines). However, this was our first time providing this combination at The Bordone. We often combine our String lights and Paper Lanterns at other venues. String Lights with Paper Lanterns at The Bordone: As a result, our beautiful combination of string lights and paper lanterns was now second in magnificence to the gorgeous afternoon sunshine. But, in the end, every cloud cleared from the sky. It was almost like nature was mocking us with multiple breaks in the rain that briefly returned to clear skies, followed by another downpour of rain. What started as a perfect end-of-summer day filled with sunshine and a moderate temperature was suddenly overcome with high winds and torrential rain. Friday, August, 26, 2022 – I’m sure everyone (including myself) was on edge last Friday at The Bordone.
